Breakfast at Tiffany's
1961 | Not Rated | Comedy, Romance | d. Blake Edwards
Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard
When we hear the name Audrey Hepburn, we automatically think of the most fashionable film ever made, Breakfast at Tiffany’s! As visual beings, most of us can conjure up an image of Hepburn’s Holly Golightly in a stunning Givenchy cocktail dress, opera length gloves, elaborate pearl choker, with hair styled in a perfect French twist.

Blake Edward’s 1961 film based on the Truman Capote novella of the same name is both a fashion show and a love story about two beautiful people with unconventional “careers”. Holly is a carefree socialite whose main goal in life is to marry a millionaire. Her plans are derailed by a handsome writer and “kept man” named Paul Varjak (George Peppard). As neighbors, the two become friends and form a close bond, causing Holly to face the truth and admit that true love is more important than marrying strictly for money.
